Eating For Your Health And The Planet

By YBQRPC | Nutrition & Health

Environmental Impact

What you eat affects the environment. Animal products, especially red meat, have higher environmental impacts than plant foods. This doesn't mean everyone must become vegan, but being aware matters.

Food production accounts for significant greenhouse gas emissions, water use, and land use. Your food choices contribute to this impact, whether you think about it or not.

Making Tradeoffs

You don't have to be perfect. Eating less meat, even occasionally, makes a difference. Choosing local when practical helps. Reducing food waste is probably the biggest impact most people can have.

Small changes add up when millions of people make them. You don't need to change everything overnight.

Balance And Reality

Eating perfectly sustainably is impractical for most people. Being mindful is more important than being perfect. Do what you can, when you can, without stress.

What matters most is eating in ways you can maintain that also happen to be better for the planet. This creates sustainability in every sense.
